A better Accounts view
Because you told us to fix it. Account cards that actually tell you something, consolidated totals across institutions, and cards you can pick yourself.
One of your fellow beta users, Adeel, told us the other day that the Accounts page was not doing much for him. He was right. So we fixed it.
It is live now.
Account cards that actually tell you something
Before, an account card was a name and a number. That is fine for a statement, not for a dashboard.
Now each card shows the number of holdings inside, your biggest positions, and a clearer picture of what is actually in there. You can tell two TFSAs apart from a glance without opening either one.
Consolidated totals across institutions
If you have a TFSA at Wealthsimple and another at Questrade, you can now see the combined total for the account type right on the page. Same for RRSPs, FHSAs, and anything else you hold across two or more institutions.
Your TFSA is a tax wrapper, not a brokerage. It always made sense to see it that way. Now it works that way too.
Pick the cards that show up
Every portfolio is different, and the cards that matter to you are not always the ones we would pick by default. You can now choose which cards appear alongside your list of accounts. Keep what is useful, hide what is not.
Check out the new Accounts view. Maybe wait until tomorrow, though. Today’s markets might hurt a little. Unless that does not faze you.
Thanks to Adeel for telling us plainly that the old page was not pulling its weight. If something else in Greenline is not pulling its weight, tell us. That is how the next one of these gets written.
