Fixing Import Errors
Sometimes an import doesn’t get everything right. A ticker gets misread, or an amount lands slightly off. Here’s how to put it straight.
Catch it before it lands
The easiest fix is the one you make early. Every import waits in your Portfolio Inbox before it enters your portfolio, and you can correct it there. See Reviewing your imports.
If it’s already gone through, carry on below.
Fixing holdings
- Open the account with the problem.
- Tap the pencil to turn on edit mode.
- Use the menu on the row you want to change, then choose Edit this holding.
- If a holding shouldn’t be there at all, delete it from the same menu.
- If one is missing, add it by hand.
Tapping a holding without turning on edit mode opens its detail page instead, which is useful for checking the transaction history behind a number that looks wrong.
Fixing transactions
- Open the account and go to the Transactions tab.
- Find the transaction that needs fixing.
- Tap it to edit the details, or delete it if it shouldn’t be there.
An account has four tabs: Holdings, Transactions, Dividends and Settings.
After you make changes
Your portfolio values update automatically once you save. There’s no need to re-import anything.
