Managing Your Settings

Last updated: 2026-08-22

Settings lives in the menu. It’s split into a few sections.

Preferences

This is where most of the day-to-day choices live.

  • Country and currency. Which country you’re in and which currency your portfolio is shown in. Your country also decides which account types Greenline offers you, and whether the Canadian tax reports appear.
  • Currency flag. Whether Greenline marks foreign amounts with a flag always, or only when they’re foreign to you.
  • Appearance. Light or dark.
  • Hide amounts. The same switch as the eye icon in the top bar. See Using privacy mode.
  • Overview and timeframes. Which returns your portfolio card shows, and which timeframe it opens on. There’s a live preview, so you can see the change before you keep it.
  • Notifications. Which push notifications you’d like: daily summaries, milestones, price alerts.

Account and billing

Your email, how you sign in, and your plan.

Reset

Two things live here, and they’re separate. Reset your portfolio clears your holdings and transactions but keeps your account. Delete your Greenline account removes everything. The delete option is tucked behind a second click on purpose.

Editing an account

Account names, brokerages and types aren’t changed from Settings. Open the account itself and use its Settings tab, or use the row menu on the Accounts list.

Changes take effect immediately, and you can come back and adjust any of them.
